Welcome to CRAFT — a community and learning space created by Actually Data and Actually Data Analytics. These Terms & Conditions set out how you may use the CRAFT website, the Academy, the Crew Forums, and the Forge apps.
By accessing or using CRAFT, you agree to follow these terms along with our other site policies.
1. Who We Are
CRAFT is operated by Actually Data / Actually Data Analytics (“we”, “us”, “our”).

These terms apply to all areas of CRAFT, including:
- Free and Premium memberships
- Academy courses
- Crew Forums
- Forge apps and tools
- Blogs, resources and community features

These documents explain how we handle your data, expected behaviour in the community, and your rights as a user.
3. Your CRAFT Account
To access certain features (forums, courses, tools), you’ll need a CRAFT account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your login secure
- Not share your login with others
- Use one account per person
Premium memberships are personal and must not be used as a shared processing hub or for running multiple organisations’ work through a single subscription.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Membership Levels & Payments
CRAFT offers:
- Free membership
- Premium membership
Premium membership gives access to full Academy courses, selected downloads, and certain Forge tools.
Payments are handled securely through our membership provider.
You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time via your account dashboard.
Refunds are provided in line with UK consumer rights.
5. Use of Forge Apps & Tools
Tools such as the Data Quality Checker and Gift Aid Converter are provided “as is”.
We take care to ensure they are accurate and useful; however:
- Results are guidance, not guarantees
- You are responsible for reviewing and verifying outputs before using them
- You must ensure you have permission to upload any data
- Files are processed temporarily and not stored
High-volume or multi-client use that exceeds normal individual use may be restricted (see Acceptable Use Policy).
6. Your Responsibilities
You must not use CRAFT to:
- Upload unlawful or harmful content
- Share personal data without permission
- Attempt to access restricted areas or systems
- Harass, intimidate or disrespect others
- Repackage or resell CRAFT tools or outputs as your own systems
- Use the platform primarily for commercial lead-generation

7. Content You Post
Anything you post in the Crew Forums or Academy (comments, replies, profile info) must follow our guidelines.
You retain ownership of your content, but you give us permission to:
- Display it within the community
- Moderate, edit or remove it if needed
- Use anonymised insights to improve the platform
We will never sell or commercially exploit your posts.
8. Our Content & Intellectual Property
All CRAFT content — including courses, tools, templates, lessons, app outputs, visual design and branding — is owned by Actually Data / Actually Data Analytics.
You may:
- Learn from it
- Use it in your day-to-day work
- Share insights within your organisation
You must not:
- Reproduce course materials publicly
- Repackage tools or outputs as your own solution
- Sell, distribute or license CRAFT content
- Remove branding or copyright notices
Speak to us if you’d like permission to use something externally.
9. Availability of the Platform
We aim to keep CRAFT available and running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee:
- Continuous uptime
- Freedom from errors
- That every feature will remain available forever
From time to time we may:
- Update tools
- Add new features
- Withdraw outdated features
- Schedule maintenance
We’ll keep disruption to a minimum.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for decisions made based on course content or tool outputs
- We are not responsible for user-generated content
- We do not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss
Nothing in these terms excludes your statutory rights.
11. Ending Your Membership
You may close your account at any time.
We may close or suspend an account if:
- The Acceptable Use Policy is breached
- The account shows suspicious or harmful activity
- Membership fees are repeatedly unpaid
- Use significantly exceeds fair access limits
Before taking action, we’ll usually try to contact you unless immediate action is needed for safety or security.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions as CRAFT grows.
We’ll post the latest version here with a new review date.
Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated terms.
